November: Mayor’s message to the business community
Congratulations to Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce for holding the successful Go Pink Luncheon at Brookwater Golf and Country Club.
The event helped raise much needed funds for Ipswich Hospital Foundation for specialised equipment.
Thank you to the sponsors VM Family Law, P&L Accountants and Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce.
And a very special thank you to Emma and Leila for sharing their journey with breast cancer. You are both such brave and inspirational women and it was heart-warming to hear your stories of courage.
Forecasting your Financials
Springfield Central Library will be host another premier business workshop in November- Forecasting your Financials.
This event is the perfect go-to if you want to learn how to forecast business income and expenses so you can build an accurate budget.
Many business owners establish a financial goal and build strategic growth plan, but few translate their plan into a financial strategy.
Financial forecasting is like building a road map for your business, it clarifies exactly how you will achieve your growth plans and is the foundation of successful financial management.

Council has been supporting GSCC’s Facebook workshops, with the three-part series concluding this month. Join us for the third and final session for this year with Nic Millard from Tenacious Digital.
In this session, Nic will talk us through the benefits of paying for ads, an overview of the ad manager and some of its features, how to set up a basic ad campaign in the ads manager, and the pros and cons of using the boost feature plus how to set up a boost to ensure bang for buck.
Council is also running online ‘lunch and learn’ procurement sessions on November 23 and 30 for businesses to better understand how Council procures and how they can set themselves up to supply to the organisation.
Council procures $160 million in goods and services each year to deliver services to the community. The aim of this session is to ensure local business are ready to take advantage of these opportunities. Find more information or register here.
